MTR to MTRP
As an innovative solution for integration of the Pet Resin Plant with Pet Preform Plant, ALHEMMA has implemented a process to convey hot resin directly to the preform plant. In comparison with the SSP or any other type of resin, there is potential energy saving on preform injection as well as blow molding processes.
- Up to 12% less energy consumption on preform injection process and also benefit for blow molding process just because of the advantage of the MTR technology.
- Lower dust in MTR resin compare to SSP Resin. MTR process generates lower than 100ppm dusts whereas SSP generates 500ppm. This is because of the spherical shape of the MTR resin (UWG-Under Water Granulation).
- Environmentally, MTR technology requires less energy input (about 32%) and less carbon footprint comparing to SSP process.
- MTR resin has lower Crystallinity about 45% compare to 56% SSP resin. It can dry in lower temperature.
- Just because of the spherical shape of the MTR resin, it has unique advantages such as; lower dust generation during convey process and uniform IV distribution within the resin pellets.
